In this project, I portrayed a story of a girl eating an apple, then ending up in a different world. She takes a bite of an apple, dropping it, and the “daydream” begins. The animation starts with an animated figure eating an apple. Then, the figure goes into a “different world,” and can explore this dream world. The story ends with the girl opening her eyes and being confused about what just happened.
To create this project I used a combination of adobe after effects, animate and premiere pro, and procreate. I used procreate to create individual images for the animate for the first part of the video. I was able to upload the images as a PNG and then upload them to adobe After Effects to create an animation. This, however, left the animation pretty choppy and slow, probably due to the pace I drew the drawings (like what frames I chose to illustrate) and using after effects. Additionally, I also used adobe animate to draw each image individually on the program. However, I found this way more challenging because I found it was difficult to make the video flow and had a harder time drawing things individually by hand. I had to simplify the images to just line work and two colors. Additionally, I had to cut out part of my idea because it didn’t look good at all and was too ambitious. The timing is also a bit off in both animation sections. The animation either goes too fast or too slow.
